Born MacGregor William Beattie Ramsay on June 23, 1998, Mac Ramsay is a lyricist, musician, and performer based in Vancouver, BC. His knack for pairing pensive melody with honest, melancholic lyrics cater to a unique style. Rhythm playing intricately with rhyme, brooding and melodramatic, holding the attention of the room in both of his hands. Since 2010 he has been writing and performing emotional pieces of music, influenced by artists like Banks, The Neighbourhood, and Lorde.

 

Having had quite a musical upbringing, Mac took piano lessons for years as a child and picked up the guitar at age 11. Although vocals have always been his focal point, Mac’s passion for creating music started with the piano. Currently, he is working on a debut project to be released mid 2018.

 

Mac will continue to play venues in Vancouver. He is always looking forward, eager to keep learning and growing. Mac writes material for albums soon to come, experiencing as much of his life as he can, surrounded by an incredible team of people.
